Due to DaVinci Resolve limitations, loader-only supported formats are: PNG, JPEG, TGA, and BMP.

If you're using files with correct extensions, please check if the file name of the image is not ending with a number (i.e image12.png) because the DV interprets it as an image sequence and loads it just for a single frame. Rename the file and try again.
